… is pretty long. It has taken me years to get here.

Long story short, after my mother’s broken neck episode, it was my dad’s turn to have medical problems. When those got settled I got laid off from my job. Then I had to get my parents moved into assisted living. Then I started a new job. Then my dad died. Then I had to disposition all of the property remaining in their house, then prep and sell the house. Then my mom died. Then I had to settle their estate which took 2 1/2 years.

Simultaneously during that period one of my children got married and two of my children had kids of their own… and then there was the pandemic

Needless to say, it has been a very busy time for me. Blogs just didn’t fit in.

And now that I have time again to write something, I am completely uninspired.

… So, I wrote the previous paragraphs about four years ago, set the blog aside, and forgot about it.

Since then, one of my kids was diagnosed with cancer, treated, recovered, and married. Two of the kids bought houses, another sold and bought a new house, and I’m up to four grandkids. I also have retired.

Let’s try this again.
